This lovely, fully-furnished, fully-equipped home was designed to be the ultimate solution for people in need of temporary housing who want all the comforts and convenience of home. Designed to be a home-away-from-home for individuals, couples or families, the Red Maple Retreat is loved for its comfy beds, crisp white linens, fully-equipped kitchen and extreme cleanliness. Surrounded by nature, yet just 6-blocks from the charming downtown of Milford where food, art, shopping and entertainment abound. If you appreciate comfort, charm and extreme cleanliness, you will love the Red Maple Retreat. Pets welcome with approval.

Our guests agree, this home has "a good vibe". That comes from a combination of thoughtful decor, lots of natural light and attention to all the little details that make a home special. But it also comes from all the love and care that's gone into creating the perfect retreat for people who value exceptional comfort, cleanliness and convenience.

Built to last in the early '50s, this house is memorable for its hardwood floors, plaster walls, cove ceilings and light-filled sunroom. The updated and finished lower level offers an equally inviting area to work or relax. Surrounding the house are many hardwoods, pines and perennials providing plenty of peaceful outdoor space to enjoy a good book, work on a laptop or nap in the sunshine. The peace and privacy can't be beat.

As hosts, we follow the Golden Rule and treat all people the way we want to be treated. Simply put, we do whatever it takes to be responsive, accommodating, kind and professional in every interaction, no matter what. Small dogs are welcome with host approval. Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the house or garage or on the property.

"We stayed at the Red Maple Retreat for three weeks while our home was being remodeled. The website pictures are beautiful but there are no words to say how homey and comfortable the "retreat" is! The bedrooms are spacious and elegant, the lovely sunporch is warm and inviting, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the dinnerware and utensils you will ever need. The living room is a cozy place to watch TV. The downstairs area is large and inviting - a quiet spot to read or play games. Colleen supplies fun, family type games - you will never want for quality-wholesome entertainment. A short walk to downtown Milford, the streets are lined with lovely trees and very well-kept, quaint homes. Colleen is a hostess extraordinaire - she is always available to answer questions and provide entertainment options. She checks in to make sure that your stay is safe, enjoyable and relaxing. The word "retreat" is truly that! Whether your stay is for a few days or nearly a month, you will fall in love with this "Home Away from Home."
