The space
The Iceberg is a cozy, open-plan living space on the ground floor, blending modern design with artistic flair. Though it doesn’t have a full kitchen, it comes equipped with a microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker for convenience. For meals, a nearby grille offers the perfect option for cooking outdoors, and guests can pick fresh vegetables from the seasonal gardens, adding a farm-to-table experience to their stay.
Beyond the living space, a private soaking tub offers a serene place to unwind, and the pool provides a refreshing spot to cool off. The surrounding sculpture gardens, including the Sculpture/Cactus Garden, Japanese Garden, and Australian Garden with Sculptures, feature a diverse array of artistic works. From abstract metal forms to organic-inspired pieces, each sculpture has been carefully placed to harmonize with its environment, creating a seamless blend of art and nature. Thoughtfully placed seating areas throughout these gardens allow you to relax and admire the artistry in these unique outdoor galleries.
THE HOME
The Iceberg is a strikingly modern architectural feature on the property, designed with angular and geometric shapes that evoke the essence of a glacier. Its clean, white, and textured surfaces give it a crisp, sculptural appearance, while inside, the design maintains a sophisticated, airy feel. High ceilings and sleek black floors create a sense of openness, and the bold architectural lines give the space an avant-garde feel, making it both visually stunning and distinctive.
The living area exudes comfort through its understated design. The bed is plush and inviting, positioned to take advantage of the space's unique layout. Muted tones, bold artwork, and streamlined décor enhance the serene atmosphere, creating a calming retreat. Essential amenities like a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker provide added convenience without compromising the clean, modern aesthetic.
The bathroom showcases a sleek, contemporary design with clean lines and modern fixtures. In addition to the indoor space, a private outdoor soaking tub offers a luxurious bathing experience under the open sky. A nearby grille allows for outdoor cooking, adding functionality to the space, perfect for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing escape.
THE GROUNDS AND SCULPTURE GARDENS
When you arrive, you are welcomed by "Alejandro," a flat metal sculpture of a man who stands sentinel at the entrance of the property. His presence adds a sense of whimsy, becoming a focal point that invites conversation and admiration. Behind him are curated metalwork sculptures, creating a visual experience that feels like an outdoor gallery.
Alfred and Smokey, two friendly resident cats, add a touch of charm to the property as they roam around outside. While they live outdoors, their playful presence brings warmth and personality to the space.
One feature is the canoe-shaped seating area, which offers a unique place to relax, read, or simply enjoy the surrounding scenery. It serves as a perfect backdrop for social media photos. Guests can also explore the Sculpture/Cactus Garden, Japanese Garden, and Australian Garden, each offering a distinct atmosphere for reflection or peaceful walks.
The pool is a refreshing centerpiece, flanked by two distinct spaces for outdoor lounging. On one side, a pergola provides partial shade for relaxing in the sun, while the cabana on the opposite side offers a cozy, sheltered spot for unwinding. Sculptural accents and desert plants enhance the serene atmosphere, offering a blend of art, relaxation, and inspiration. Whether you're seeking quiet solitude or a space to entertain, the backyard provides a creative and peaceful retreat.
The Iceberg is open-plan with a king-size bed and sleeps a total of two guests.
